I started my treatment at Midwest Medicorp between the last week in February and the first week in March. I was in so much pain I had left my job for a whole week and just stayed in bed. Dear Midwest Chiropractic Care Center,

In January of 1995 I had a fatty tumor (Lipoma) in my left shoulder removed; this was the second time I had this removal in 1 ½ years. This one was larger and deeper causing me a lot of discomfort and movement. After the surgery I didn’t heal very well. I went for numerous ultrasound treatments and physical therapy. After a couple of months, I wasn’t any better, I had neck pain and I couldn’t turn my head to look over my right shoulder; I felt as if three inches had been removed from my left shoulder. I then had pain in my left shoulder blade; it went down my back, into my legs, ankles, and feet. Physical therapy wasn’t enough.

My son had been going to Dr. Rafie for over a year. After talking to my son, I agreed to try the chiropractor. I needed to do something. I was desperate; I was in a lot of discomfort. All I did was cry.

My first visit was free. Dr. Rafie knew just where the pain was by just pressing on my neck and with a simple movement exam. Then he took x-rays of my neck and low back. I, then, could see why I was always in such pain. He gave me my first treatment, starting with my neck. It was like a miracle. I walked straighter, my head was moveable, and when I went to back out of a parking spot, I was able to turn my head to look over my shoulder for the first time in months. I was overjoyed and smiling again, which I hadn’t done in months!

I looked forward to every one of my treatments. Dr. Rafie gave me his trust, and the best physical care I have ever had. Now, I will continue to treat myself better. But after further discussion from a very close friend, she found out that acupuncture was the “New Wave of Fertility” for the new millennium. I decided to try acupuncture because from what I read, this type of procedure cannot hurt and had very positive results.

I went to Dr. Rafie because I had trouble with my fingers; they were throbbing and tingling. My hands, wrists, forearms, elbows, shoulders, and neck began to do the same shortly after. The Dr. told me I had carpal tunnel and that he would help me by giving me treatment. I had nine treatments and I thank Dr. Rafie for that because the treatments help me very much and I feel very good about that. I know that the treatments will be a success. Dear Midwest Chiropractic,

I had suffered multiple injuries in a car accident six years ago. My orthopedic surgeon and neurologist both gave me the understanding that I would be feeling discomfort intermittently due to the magnitude of my injuries. I had accepted my minor aches and pains as a new way of life.

I responded to an ad from Midwest Chiropractic offering the first visit “free.” I thought, “what do I have to lose? —maybe I can get some temporary relief…”

After a few visits, I began to feel “different.” My range of movement had increased and I was resting much better. Now, (six months later) I feel like a “new woman.” I am revitalized! I feel better than I had before my accident. I feel like a teenager (I am 46 years old).

I had not realized how pain-free life could be. Now knowing how life could be, I am not satisfied with “putting up” with anything else.

I look forward to my monthly visit to Midwest Chiropractic Care Center. I view my treatment as a “treat” to myself. I feel Dr. Rafie is pledged to my physical well-being. The entire staff is warm, friendly, and dedicated. —I am well cared for!

I have mild scoliosis and a malformation of bone in my lower back. I have been going to Osteopathic doctors for 20 years, with minimal results, probably due to the fact that they never updated my case with x-rays. I also was wearing a ¼ inch lift in my left shoe all this time. I sustained a back injury from falling on my back on the ice in 1990, creating a bulging disc in the lower back. I was living on Darvocet N 100 and muscle relaxants. I was facing possible surgery because, even with medication, I always felt like I had a knife in my lower back.

Since treatment in this office, I no longer take Darvocet N 100. I still have to take muscle relaxant due to the fact that I have an enormous amount of stress in my life and when my muscles tense, it pulls my back out after a while. I know that I am 75% minimally improved and from time to time more than that. Pain from the bulging disc is no longer constant and after some treatments I am now at maintenance therapy.

My feeling about Midwest Chiropractic is that they are superb, outstanding, and excellent. I can’t live life comfortably without it. I have already recommended this office to others. My husband has had rheumatoid arthritis for about 33 years and he has improved under care here.

The problems I was having that caused me to seek treatment at your office were lower back pain, recurrent pinched nerve in the neck, and left shoulder pain. My problems were the result of a fall down the stairs. I broke my foot and L5 responding to a call at the firehouse. I’ve had these problems since September 1992 and did not have the L5 fracture treated at all. This health problem has interfered with my normal life activities, especially my job. My job is all lifting and I usually just have to grin and bear it while working. It makes me very miserable and hard to work. Both you and Dr. Mark do a wonderful job. Since treatment I am in much less pain when working and I don’t wake up in the morning all sore like I usually did. My old chiropractor just did adjustments. The addition of the electrode therapy, massage table, and hydro massage has made a huge difference in my treatment.

The problem that I was having that brought me to this office was the feelings of pins and needles in the leg and foot from a pinched nerve in the hip. I’ve had this problem for 18 months. I couldn’t shop, couldn’t walk, couldn’t use stairs; I could hardly even stand. Now I feel great. I am walking, shopping, slowly getting used to climbing stairs again. I was experiencing extreme discomfort in my lumbar area and right hip that was getting progressively worse. I was having difficulty walking and working. I was taking Flexeral, Advil, Vicoden, and Tylenol with little relief. I was also seeing my usual chiropractor weekly without any change. I saw your sign while driving that said “Pain Stops Here.”
Presently I am able to walk about with minimal pain and medication after only two months. With your aggressive therapies I feel I am able to function to the best of my ability considering the curvature of my spine. The staff also was very wonderful and pleasant. Midwest Chiropractic saved my life!

Dear Dr. Rafie,

I have to write to you and thank you for my better health. I had bladder suspension surgery this year. The bladder is in its right place now but I got a bad case of incontinence. I followed the surgery with two different procedures to make it stop. None of them took so now I have to wear diapers to keep dry. I was told my bladder is small, and is over active. I had to change diapers to keep dry about five times a day.

Then you, Dr. Rafi, started acupuncture to help me with that. I will tell you that it did help. I use approximately two to three diapers a day, one when I get up, one when I go to bed, and sometimes one during the day. It not only made me dryer but I’m more active and I’m not spending a fortune on diapers. I still use them but I now have the urge to go and can use the bathroom more often. I’m able to go and see a movie without leaving several times to use the ladies room. I’m able to shop or visit without being afraid of wetting. I’m dryer and happier now.

I came to Midwest Chiropractic Care because I have spinal arthritis. I was in constant pain. I had a minor problem walking on rainy days, and I did not want to get out of bed. I went to Midwest Chiropractic Care Center with a sore neck. My neck would hurt so bad, and get so tired, that I would have to sit down and lay it back to relieve the pressure. 5 months ago,I stretched my leg while trying to get on a chair. All of the muscles in my left leg really did hurt. I used so much Ben Gay and heat patches and spent so much money. When I first put the creams on it was good, but an hour later my leg was really hurting again. Thank God my friend suggested that I see a Chiropractor. That is when I came to Midwest Chiropractic Care Center and saw Dr. Kaczmarski. I am getting treatments for my back. It sure feels good. I go three times a week. The heat and treatments make me feel real good. I can't believe this difference in me in just one week. I walk better, and it doesn't hurt. I can stand longer too. When I first came to Midwest Chiropractic Care Center I had a bad back ache, and my legs were too stiff to walk. I also had extreme neck pain, and was unable to turn my neck without severe pain. I had four x-rays taken and then began getting treatment. I was also given a rubber neck brace to wear. The treatments were very good with the heat pad and machine. I had several treatments with the roller and water bed. The treatments were weekly at first and then fewer times as necessary. The service was very good. I received excellent care and I had very fast results. The follow up care was the same and very successful. I appreciate the kindness that was shown to my husband and myself.
